Sir Colin John Giltrap KNZM, 1940-2024.

The Trustees of the Bruce McLaren Trust are deeply saddened to learn of the death of Sir Colin Giltrap.

Sir Colin and Bruce were great friends and Sir Colin was one of our original and longest standing Patrons as well as a valued supporter of the Trust.  

Sir Colin’s unprecedented support for young New Zealanders was recognised in 2012, when he was made a Knights Companion of the Order of New Zealand in recognition of his services to motorsport and philanthropy.

The Trustees would like to express their gratitude for all Sir Colin’s support over the years and extend their condolences to Lady Jenny Giltrap, to his sons Richard and Michael, the Giltrap family and all of Sir Colin’s many friends and acquaintances.
