We’ve heard you have a great car and love taking it out on Sundays and special days. So throw off those covers and join us on the Coast-to-Coast Fun Run, and bring the family for a great outing.
Please note that this event is NOT limited to Trust members – all are welcome!
Timing: Sunday 30th August – the Sunday closest to Bruce’s birthday and this year it is actually on Bruce’s birthday.
Duration: Approx one and three quarter hours driving and/or 100k’s. Start time is 9.30am. Lunch will be available at the finish venue and prize giving will follow.
Start Location: Sunken Gardens, Cornwall Park off Greenlane Road.
Route Info: We will touch both coasts somewhere within the run (i.e. the Tasman and the Pacific or the Pacific and the Tasman.) The general route this year will be south to Ardmore where we will be able to have a look through the Warbirds hangar and perhaps a cup of tea (a donation to the Warbirds will be required). Then it will be back on the road through the surrounding countryside to our lunch destination.
Route Instructions: This is just a simple guided country run with a short section including optional “Fun Trial” questions and answers. Road names, places and distances included in instructions to keep you on route. No arguments, ructions or divorces required!
Lunch Venue: Formosa Country Club, Beachlands, (a game of golf after lunch is a possibility as long as you book it direct with Formosa prior to the weekend. Please make your lunch bookings on the Entry Form.
Car Category: Enter your vehicle under Historic, Classic or Modern. We will concur with your decision on what category you consider your vehicle is. Your car must be road registered/street legal and have the usual WOF. Driver, of course, to have a current licence.
Entry Fee: $20.00 per vehicle with as many navigators/back seat drivers/co-drivers/secretaries as will fit. Closing date for entries Monday 24th August with late entry fees applying thereafter. Entry fee can be paid by cheque, Visa / Mastercard or Cash.
