Conditions obviously haven't put Jan McLaren off
because on the 2nd and 3rd of this month she was back at the Taupo circuit for
the second race of the Tasman Revival Series. Even though Taupo is about four
hours' drive without a trailer from Auckland, the Historic Car Club received over
300 entries which like the Pukekohe meeting featured Formula 5000 cars and
Formula Juniors. No, there were no McLaren cars in the big race and Jan doesn't
even know who won. She was too busy with the Trust's display.
