Marsh Models was formed in 1981 by John and Pam Simons as an antidote to redundancy. Initially, we built models for Abingdon Classics and major UK model outlets but decided to start our own range of models in 1984. At the time, there seemed to be a gap in the market for sports racing cars of the 1960's so our first release was the legendary Chaparral 2F. This was followed by models of other important Le Mans cars.
The first step into an untried area was the model of the McLaren M6A. Models of cars of the CanAm era were virtually unknown at this time but the success of the M6A meant that other CanAm models followed and now Marsh Models is considered the leader in this field. We introduced many innovative design features such as black resin tyres, photo etched interiors and recently photo etched wings with aerofoil sections.
Although Marsh Models was originally formed in the Romney Marsh area of Kent, England, 11 years ago we moved to a farm workshop in East Sussex. Incidentally, our frog logo represents the European marsh frog who's unique sound could be heard from our first venue.

This is the GMP12022 Denny Hulme Orange #5, and team car to the now sold out #4 car of Bruce McLaren.  These  famous cars are the only 1/18 Can Am McLarens ever made, and they are incredible.  The first car, #4, sold out very quickly, so don't miss out if historical Can Am racers are appealing to you.
