M9A - 1969
McLaren Racing's Jo Marquart's experimental design employing four wheel drive during the 69 season. The cars used a Cosworth-Ford engine turned back to front driving through to a McLaren designed 4wd transmission. Despite exhaustive testing then car was raced only once and as with other manufacturers, 4wd projects were abandoned.
